It is time for le wombat to contemplate life.

Crucible sucked, pretty majorly. And there's nothing at all to be done about that. (yay cats) But now we're having this meeting for everyone interested in doing Guys and Dolls. Personally, I think we should do West Side Story (What? This is the only year we have people who could do it vocally. Though the dancing would be sort of embarassing. though I dunno...I could do Anita...*likes America*). But so what. It's not like she would ever in a million years consider something I say unless she knows that it's the only thing htat can make certain sisters audible onstage. Ah well. I'm not bitter. At all. *nods emphatically (or should that be shakes head emphatically* Who am I kidding, anyway? I'll go, and I'll get slapped in the face (time numero 9. Though only numero 4 with her. Five of them were other directors at school.) and I'll grin and be pretty scenery, and we all know I'll be right back next year, all eager and bushy-tailed. Thank you sir may I have another.

Damn ambition. Being "in the theatre" [snerk] isn't supposed to be being [i]scenery[/i] for people who can't even bother to read their [i]scripts[/i]! Yeah, yeah. I knwo you have to perservere and work up and all that jazz. But if we were anything more than a joke of a drama department, the whole oh-sorry-yeah-I-just-didn't-have-time-to-look-at-my-lines routine wouldn't be an issue. I refuse to believe that anybody even semi-serious can do that. But this is all I've got, so I have to keep at it. Like some sort of glorified [i]prop[/i].

That comment really gets to me. "Yeah, yeah. Make sure you get your makeup done right...'cos, you know, that's really all that matters for you guys". From Shrew! >.< and it's true, too. Sure. We had to "sing". We had to chant "bop bop sha bop". But we were scenery.

Gah. I shall stop fussing. It doesn't do anything, just bores anybody (HA) who reads this, and gets me riled again.

[b]Broadway may go dark[/b]. Go on any major B'way news site--broadwayworld, playbill, or even nytimes--and there's an article somewhere. Apparantly the various worker unions are having a tiff that may result in a lockout.

NOOOOOOOO! If there is one, it can prevent some shows from moving into some theatres, which means Little Mermaid--my pet show--may be delayed opening. And Young Frankenstein. And the MTV showing of LB may be put off, which will mean MORE hype about it. Yeah yeah yeah. I love Christian Borle and LBB and Kate Shindle and all, but really? Legally Blonde is pretttttty stupid. There's a whole SONG called "Omigod you guys". Who's going to take THAT seriously?!

Not that Little Mermaid is much better. But it's cute. Plus, I never had a Disney craze as a kid. I've just delayed it somewhat. *sticks tongue out* And the score is AWESOME. And it has Sherie and Sierra and Norm. Who are going to PWN THE WORLD.

*twitches slightly* I wish it would hurry up and open. November is forever/and a day away. (yay xanadu) By then at least bwayworld will have an opening night video with some more than some bootlegs from youtube. And then it'll only be so long before an OBC and me-hitting-the-ceiling.

Actually, I'm in a tizzy about hte Xanadu OBC too. I haven't seen the ONJ film, but Kerry is awesome. And it's a cute story, too. Ish. Only it's been delayed, allegedly so they can get both male leads...(one broke his leg in rehearsal....)
